Arthur Bernardes Award is conferred to Juliana Lins.
In addition to the award announced last week (best paper from the Dept. Animal Biology), the paper
"Ocupação de árvores por cupins: a influência da rugosidade da casca (Tree occupation by termites: the effect of bark rugosity)",
by Juliana Lins, Teresa Telles, Og DeSouza and Ronaldo Reis Jr
was also chosen as the best paper from the Center of Biological Sciences presented at
the XVI Simposium of the Scientific Trainning Program at UFV, in 2006. This is the "Arthur Bernardes Award", which is given to the undergrad student who presents it in poster and oral form. This is a truly high distinction, since only 4 papers are chosen among more than 1000 papers presented at this simposium.
